The Little Green Book

After being out last week we want to kick the week off by highlighting one of the several tools within our program, The Little Green Book™ (LGB).  The LGB is the resource for organizational sustainability. Think of it as the “Zagat” to sustainable strategies for every green company. The LGB focuses on the core principles of organizational sustainability from employee/stakeholder education and involvement to climate goals and carbon footprint and presents targeted strategies for implementation. The LGB simplifies, demystifies and presents complex environmental strategies including the LEED® for Commercial Interiors Rating System in easy to understand terms. Version 2.0 of the LGB is currently being published and will be available through Amazon and Barnes and Noble late June 2009. The book will also be available as an e-book for use with the Kindle and other readers.

We also would like to let you know that mid-summer 2009, The Little Green Book "App" for iPhone, Blackberry and Android will be available for download via the iPhone App Store, Blackberry App World and through our website. The application will build on information in the book as well as leverage the technological capabilities of these devices to present localized directories, in-depth information, latest news and social media as well as theabilityto share strategies, tools and ideas. For more information visit; http://www.thelittlegreenbookonline.com/.

Also, check back later today for additional information regarding our second Green Giant as well as follow up information on the first Hospitality Industry Index and Best Practices Report coming later this week.
